A year of raw food magic, home grown veggies, new workshops, self-awareness and creativity…

Our Home Grown Veggies...

2014 has been a fantastic year. Andy and I experienced so many new things… it’s been a great deal of fun. This is the kind of life we always wanted, and it was so lovely to experience it unfolding for us. Each day we took another small step in alignment with the future we wanted to build for ourselves, until one day I realised that everything I was doing each day from the moment I woke, to the moment I went to sleep, was in alignment with my purpose and the life I had always dreamed of living. This is a little of our journey over this last year…

JuiceAndy and I built 9 raised veggie beds for our garden. We also bought a mini-greenhouse. Our first attempt at sowing and growing veggies was a fantastic success for novices. We began learning as we went, and made changes as we discovered how to become better at it. With each mistake we quickly learned how to do it better. We soon learned that each veggie has individual needs to bring it to its fullest potential, so much as we do in our business, we learned how to give them what they needed to cultivate their full potential. We had an excellent crop of courgettes, carrots, fennel, beetroot, herbs, pak choi, spring onions, lettuce and kale. We grew so many carrots and fennel, that just before Christmas, we’re still collecting these two fresh veg from the garden to make our daily pint of veggie juice. Next year, we have a clear vision of what we’d love to create in our veggie garden.

We also embraced a raw food way of life. Our kitchen took on a whole new meaning as our kitchen cupboards filled with very different things. This central hub of our home became a place for creativity, and our taste buds and mealtimes became a whole new taste sensation. We attended a raw food workshop late in 2013 with the Avoswonderful Rebecca Kane – Shine on Raw. I watched two cheesecakes being made, raw food spaghetti bolognese coming to life (which tasted better than the cooked version!), and witnessed her making lots of other exciting dishes. I’m a very hands-on learner, so the whole raw food way of life became very real and achievable for me after that. I made my first raw food cheesecake a week or so later, which was so exciting that I can’t put it into words, and from there, every mealtime became an adventure. I lost any uncertainty I had about sticking rigidly to raw food recipes, and I began experimenting with fantastic results. We don’t eat 100% raw by any means, but we have upped it to Chocolate Cheesecakearound 50% of our diet. These days, our home is always filled with raw food essentials which allow us to make just about any meal possible. We began a Raw Food Inspiration page on Facebook too, where we share recipes and encourage others to do the same. Check it out – there’s some great stuff on there. We invested in a Nutribullet, which has been fantastic, and we’re making great use of our Vitamix, which we’ve had for a couple of years, but which really has come into its own this year. Our spiralizer has been well used too. We’re loving this way of life so much, that we’re even thinking of running raw food workshops for beginners next year.

Our Breakthrough Days here in Inverness have really taken off. Over the last year and a half, we’ve had so many wonderful guests staying with us. We’re a five minute drive from Inverness airport, and with flights being as cheap as they are, we’ve had dozens of individuals and couples who have hopped on a plane to come and share our Breakthrough Experience with us. From the moment they land, we take very good care of them. It’s been such a privilege to welcome these people into our home, to share meals around our dining table with them, to clink a glass of wine with them after their day of pure self-discovery. It really has been such an honour, not only sharing time with these incredible people, but delivering all of this with my husband. He is my soul mate. Words can’t express what we both feel at the end of one of these experiences. We just look at one another, feel the immense gratitude that we are able to do this, and know that we are on purpose. Our home is so brilliantly designed for the workshop delivery and having overnight guests too, because the bedrooms are split at either end of the house. Our bedroom and bathroom is at one end, and our guest bedroom and bathroom is at the other.

We have also launched our Past Lives and Soul Mates Workshop this year, our Confidence and Courage Workshop, our Family Breakthrough Experiences (our Breakthrough Days for Individuals and Couples have been running for quite a few years, along with our Four Week Distance Course). We’ve also launched our Five Day Transformation Experience, which incorporates raw food and Highland photography, and Andy has also launched his Design Your Dating Profile for men and women. Next year, we will be launching The Best Wedding Present. This is a service for couples about to be married which will help them understand in depth their Wedding Handsindividual personalities and how to bring out the best in one another, their relationship needs, their love languages, effective communication, the differences in how men and women communicate, perceive and operate, and so much more. We’ll basically be providing the couple with everything they will need to make their marriage a wonderful success, and this can be purchased by their family as a wedding present for them. We’ve also had some wonderful corporate work and we’re also both writing our books. So we’ve been kept very busy.

On a personal level, we’ve had probably our most prominent year of self-growth yet. The expansion to our self-awareness had been immense. This last year really has been a coming together of all that we have learned and applied over the past decade, and it’s come together in a way which has been quite incredible. We are both standing firmly in our truth and authenticity, very aware of how every step of our journey has brought us to where we are now. We are very content to be here. Resisting nothing, open to everything, and loving every moment of the journey. We don’t know what we don’t know yet… so we’re looking very forward to the rest.

Andy has thrived with his photography. Apart from falling head over heels in love with the beautiful scenery surrounding us, we’ve traveled around most of the Highlands over this last 18 months, and his photography has come on in leaps and bounds. We’ve both joined a photography club, and have enjoyed some great social evenings and made some wonderful friends there. You can browse through his photos here on Flickr.

On the creative side, I’ve been doing a lot of painting too. I love it! I use acrylic paints, and here are some of my recent ones.

I’ve also been enjoying making many meditation MP3s for clients. This is something I love doing. If you’d like a free 20 minute deeply relaxing guided meditation, then simply sign up for it on the top right of this website and it will be sent to your inbox immediately.

One final thing… I also made my Mind Movie… the moving vision board of everything I’d love to continue creating in my life. I’d strongly suggest everyone make one of these. Not only is it fantastic fun to put together, but it’s inspiration uniquely put together for you and your life…

Until August this year we were running a monthly personal development group called I CAN! – Inspirational Community and Networking Group. It was a great success, and our speakers included Robert Holden, Dr David Hamilton, Dawn Breslin, Tim Van der Vliet and many more well known authors and leaders in their field. The group ran for 15 months, and reached the stage where it was taking so much of our time to organise and promote, that on a personal level it ended up taking us off our own purpose. We had to ask ourselves some tough ICAN_montage_DH2jpgquestions at the end of the day, including whether we wanted to be event organisers or workshops leaders and speakers. The answer was evident to us, and the moment we decided to stop running the group and invest that time back into our own business, both we and our business jumped up another gear. Creating a really successful group for speakers and the community was something that we had both always wanted to do. Now we’ve ticked that box, we’ve done it, and the group was more successful than we had even hoped it might be. It ended on a high, and we were able to donate almost £2k to charity as a direct result. Fantastic learning for both of us. You can see the list of speakers who came all the way to Inverness to speak for I CAN here, and browse through photos of some of the events here.

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas, and may the new year bring you everything you ever dreamed of. Remember, just one step at a time, and before you know it, life really can be radically different.

With love from us both,
Di and Andy
